Terrorist Suspects Cheered By Crowd J (N.Z. Press- Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) NICOSIA, September 22. All the 11 Cypriot Greek women who were being detained in Cyprus without trial as terrorist suspects were released today. As the released girls drove in a bus along the capital’s notorious “murder mile,” they sang Greek national songs and the National Anthqm. Cheers and clapping followed trom the pavements. British troops and police kept watch. The decision of the Governor (Sir Hugh Foot) to release the women is interpreted by political quarters as a gesture calculated to reduce tension in the Greek community in anticipation of the appointment of Turkey’s representative on the island un/ler the new British partnership plan which has been rejected by Greece and by Archbishop Makarios.
