RADIO STATIONS AT NELSON, TIMARU
Broadcasting Hours Extended (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 23. The broadcasting hours of the radio stations at Gisborne, Wanganui, Nelson and Timaru are to be extended. The Minister in charge of Broadcasting (Mr Boord) said tonight that from November 1, transmissions from 2XG Gisborne, 2XA Wanganui, 2XN Nelson and 3XC Timaru, would be increased to provide continuous broadcasting from 6 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays and from 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. on Sundays.
