MR J. W. RIDLEY, a former Rhodes Scholar and graduate of the University of Canterbury who has been appointed project engineer at Otematata, where he will be responsible for construction of the Benmore hydroelectric scheme. He is the elder son of Mrs G. S. Ridley, of Shirley, Christchurch, and the late Mr Ridley, who was chief agricultural instructor for the Canterbury Education Board.
