Three Injured When Car Leaves Road
A car which toiled to take a bend on the Lyttelton-Governors Bay highway on Saturday night smashed through a fence and dropped into a creek bed below, all its three occupants being injured. They were Albert Felstead, of College road, Lyttelton, and William Jones and Graham Rollinson, also of Lyttelton. Mr Felstead, who received broken ribs, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital' Mr Jones and Mr Rollinson were treated in the casualty department. The car, an old model, is owned and was being driven by Mr Rollinson. Rescuers had some difficulty extricating the men.
