AUSTRALIA WINS TASMAN CUP
N.Z. Women Lose ~ All Matches (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, September 7. Australia made a clean sweep of this year’s Tasman Cup golf contest, winning all seven matches against the visiting New Zealand women’s team yesterday. This is the eighth time Australia has won the cup. Australia won both foursomes. The visitors held their own in the long game, with 19-year-old Miss “Nicki” Campbell hitting outstanding drives. In the short game, however, the Australians were more adept, and bandied the true, but very fast, greens better. Results :
