MID-CANTERBURY STROKE TITLES
G. P. Vesty Wins Senior Event G. P. Vesty, of Timaru, won the Mid-Canterbury senior stroke championship held during the week-end by the Ashburton Golf Club. With s score of 150, Vesty finished one stroke ahead of A. C. Browne (Ashburton). The intermediate championship was won by N. Nottle, who beat M. Soutar in the play-off, which was reduced to four holes because of the failing light. The annual championship was played bn good greens and in ideal weather. > Results were (competitors from Ashburton unless otherwise stated): — Senior: G. P. Vesty (Timaru), 150; A. C.
