ASSAULT AND ROBBERY
Chinese Badly Injured
(New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND. June 22.
A Chinese. Albert Wong, was assaulted and robbed in the backyard of a house in Grey’s avenue. Auckland, on Saturday night. Mr Wong, aged about 45, a workman, of Queen Mary avenue. Epsom, staggered into the house suffering from wounds to the face and head. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.
This evening the police had still not been able to interview Mr Wong to obtain a description of his attacker. It is not known how much money was taken.
