Yachting Waimakariri Club Trophies
The annual prize-giving of the Waimakariri Sailing and Power Boat Club was held recently in the David Crozier Memorial Hall, Kairaki. Mrs H. M. Blanchard, wife of the club commodore, presented the trophies as follows:
Joyce pennant, Chinook (J. Tourell); Woods trophy, G. Cooke; Aotearoa Cup, R. G. Grant Cup. Joe Bierman Cup, Tisdal Cup, Tara (K Tourell); Armstrong and Farr Cup. Euclid (H. Blanchard); Cattermole Cup, Alfred Pearce Cup, Zambesi (I. Donaldson): Mazey Shield, Edna Cup. Doug. McKenzie Cup, Hardies trophy, Chinook (Miss E. Pullin); O M. Williams Shield, Crozier Cup. Finora (C. G. .Banks); Dorothy Cup, Rufus (Colin Cooke); Whitmore Cup. Improve (B. Popenhagen); De Lambert Cup, Chinook (J. Tourall); E. E. Coombes trophy. Tiki (G. Cooke); Daries Memorial trophy, Katrina (G Cooke); Cecil Payne Cup, Big Ears (J. Weastell); Belair Cup, Tara (Mrs K. Tourell); De La Rue Cup, Virgo (G. Hobson); Obom Cup, Bebop (R Burt); Kesteven Cup, Dolphin (P. Morris) Club trophies were won by J. Leech, R. Burt, and H. Blanchard.
