Christchurch Titles Final Reached M. L. Rooney, of the Christchurch Squash Club, will meet M. R Blank (Canterbury Officers’ Club) tn the final of the Christchurch squash rackets championships sponsored by the Canterbury Officers’ Club Blank won his way into the final by beating T. J. McL. de Lange by three games to one. j Rooney beat R. G. Pattinsnn ano then M. Holdsworth in three sets. He beat Holdsworth in the semi-final 9-5, 10-8, 9-0. The match was chaiacterised by long rallies and fast play. The game was closer than the score indicated. Results were:— Third Round.—M. Holdsworth beat P M. Wilson; 4-9, 8-10, 9-6, 9-1, 9-7: M Rooney beat R. G. Pattinsnn. 9-3 9-4. 9-5; M. R. Blank beat Hancock. 9-5. 9-3. 7-9, 9-2; T J De Langbeat P. Hadley. 9-7, 8-10, 9-6, 9-7 Semi-Final (Championship).—M. R Blank beat T. J. McL. De Lange, 9-4, 7-9, 9-5, 9-4; M. L. Rooney beat M Holdsworth, 9-4, 10-8, 9-0. Semi Finals (Plate). —E. C. Arundel (Wigram) v. P. Hill (College); W K. Dougall (Officers ’Club) v J. Maples (Commerce Department).
