Exhibition Match

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 21. Rain, which had so important a bearing on the second test match between England and New Zealand at Lord's, ended the exhibition "test” which followed. England made 145 in 20 overs, and after New Zealand had reached 130 for five wickets in 14 of its 20 overs, a downpour ended the match. May delighted the 20,000 persons who stayed to watch the makeweight cricket by hitting 45, including five sixes—three off successive balls from Sparling—in 16 minutes. Miller was top scorer for New Zealand with 50. The England players, much more light-hearted than their opponents, made the crowd shriek with delight at their antics. Richardson kept wicket while Evans bowled.
