Fatal Fall From Sulky

After he fell from a trotting sulky on his property at Shands road. Broadfield, yesterday. Gerald Winter Vivian, aged 68. single, was found to be dead. The accident occurred about 9.20 a.m. when Mr Vivian and his brother, Mr H. G. Vivian, who is 79, were driving horses on a training track. His brother did not see the accident but saw the horse getting up after apparently stumbling. and Mr Vivian was on the ground near the sulky. A doctor was called and found Mr Vivian to be dead. Mr Vivian had recent success with the pacer, Schemer, which he had trained.
