DRAMA LEAGUE FESTIVAL
8.8. C. Producer As Judge
“The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, March 14.
The judge at the national final of the New Zealand branch of the British Drama League festival to be held in Timaru on September 8, will be Mr John Allen, a dramatist and producer. Mr Allen is also director of broadcasts tc schools for the 8.8. C. This was announced in Wellington recently by Mr D. S. Campbell, president of the New Zealand branch of the league. Mr Allen will attend a U.N.E.S.C.O. conference on “Drama in Education,” in Australia before coming to New Zealand for the festival.
Mr Campbell said that divisional finals for the festival would be held in August; those for the South Island would be held in Oamaru and Invercargill, and those for the North in Hamilton and Wanganui.
