Vegetable Crowers’ Field Day
About 90 commercial growers of vegetables and potatoes attended a field day at the Crop Research Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Lincoln, where they were shown the results of the division’s vegetable breeding and selection ■work. It was the first field day of its kind for several years. The visitors were shown selection, breeding and trial work in savoy and spring cabbage, cauliflower, green sprouting broccoli, onions, carrots, rhubarb, celery potatoes.
