January 21. _ Otago has declined Auckland’s inl vitation to send its Plunket Shield- ~ winning cricket team to Auckland 0 next month for a special match. 1 The chairman of the Otago Cricket „ Association (Mr A. Ibbotson) today sent a telegram to the Auckland s chairman (Mr A. J. Postles): "Rer gret that the problem of availability 1 of players makes it impossible to send a team.” Auckland had wanted the match f only if Otago could be at full strength. 1
