Stirling Moss Wins
In British Car (Rec. 10 p.m.) BUENOS AIRES, January 19. Stirling Moss, of Britain, who only a few minutes before the face removed a bandage from his injured eye, roared to victory today in the sixth annual Argentine Republic Grand Prix at the wheel of a Cooper-Climax British car. Luigi Musso (Italy) was placed •ocond in a red Ferrari, Mike Hawthorn (Britain) in another Ferrari came in third, and the World champion. Juan Manuei Fangio (Argentina), was fourth in 3 privately-entered Maserati. Moss seized the lead when Fangio pulled into the pit to change a wheel in the thirtyfifth lap. He led all the remainder of the 80-lap race at the Buenos Aires Municipal Autodrome. Moss was mobbed as he roared m at the finish and was kissed by his wife, Katie, who on Friday •ccidentally stuck her finger in his left eye. It was not until the last minute that Moss decided he could race m the Grand Prix, which opened the 1958 international season.
