Rabone Top Batsman With One Innings As a result of the latest series of matches in the 1957-58 Plunket Shield competition, batting and bowling averages have shown considerable changes. Good bowling figures returned by Auckland and Northern Districts players, and by some Canterbury players, have advanced their places in the averages. In the batting lists, the most notable advance has been that of J. R. Reid (Otago). G. O. Rabone Auckland) now heads the list from his one appearance Wellington and Central Districts players have slipped down in the batting averages.
