Sir, —Editors and charities have many friends in common and, as you alone can reach many of them, would you oblige me (and the 53.000 people with lenrosy we are helping), by permitting me simnlv to say “Thank you very much’’ to thjose of your readers who were atnong the 2000 Good Samaritans xVho sent anonymous donations totalling £2096 to the 1957 appeal •of the Mission to Leners. helped lift our income to £69,600, not far short of our target for 1957—£70.000. Mav thcv all have a Happy New Year. The increase in giving will help us to reach out into places where no helo for lepers has been taken before and so bring to more of these sufferers the brightest year of their lives.— You’ s, etc..
