(New 7eninnn Press Association) HASTINGS. December 29. Well-known throughout New Zealand as a Jersev breeder. Mr Henry John Fourneau. of Tryford. died recently. He was 70. The snn of Mr W. P. Fourneau. one of the district’s earlv settlers. h* 3 was born in Pakowhai. and had lived there all his life. In conjunction with his son Trevor, he established the Pakowhai Jersev stud, and the many show and sale successes won over the years brought the stud into prominence in the New Zealand dairy industry. 1
“Divine Help” Aids Prospector —Radioactive specimens from a new mineral discovery, found “by divine help” at Mukudamu. have been sent to the United Kingdom Geological , Survey Office for analysis. The nature of the denosit will not be known until ♦he analysis results are available The followed nrayers for divine heln. according to Copra planter, Mr J V. Tarte. who holds a nrospecting licence for the area where the discovery was made.—Suva (Reuter).
