Horror Films
Sir,—A film advertised by one of our theatres this week is guaranteed to thrill the most morbid sensation-hunter. How far are we going to descend in the search for thrills? Where is our boasted culture? The film is advertised as unfit for children under 13 years of age, and I would dare to say it’s unfit for children over that age unless they want to become inmates of mental hospitals later on. Have the censors fallen asleep on their job?—Yours, etc., L. GERARD. December 2, 1957.
