Tubeless Tyres
Sir.—ln the Magistrate’s Court on Friday it was asserted by the defence and conceded by the prosecution that a practically brandnew tubeless tyre can be unseated by being driven over a stone No estimate was given of the size this stone would have to be, but if it is to be so small as to be unnoticeable at the time of impact. a grave danger faces the thousands of peonle now riding on tubeless tyres. In their interest 'statements are due from the manufacturers and from those who can evidence a greater experience of tubeless tyres than our local exoerts. A point that manv motorists neglect is the checking of the correct pressure in their front tyres. Steering can be dangerously affected and every motorist should use a reliable tyre gaugfe regularly and know how and when to use it I correctly—Yours, etc., TWENTY-FOUR I December 2, 1957.
