Supreme Court Ten Offences Committed By Man While On Bail

A young man who committed 10 shop-breaking offences while remanded on bail on two other charges was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment by Mr Justice Adams in the Supreme Court yesterday. He was Trevor James Garlick, aged 21. Last Thursday Garlick was sentenced to imprisonment for five years on a charge of breaking and I entering and theft from Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., and with assault with intent to resist arrest. The sentence imposed yesterday will run concurrently with the five-year term.
