DESIGNED FOR THE QUEEN.—When Mr Edward Rayne, the Queen’s personal shoemaker, was in Christchurch last Friday he could not discuss the shoes he had designed for the Queen to take to Canada and the United States, while the Royal tour was in progress. However, he released to “The Press” these two sketches of shoes made for the Queen, tor publication after the completion of her North American visit. TOP: A nigger brown suede pump with matching grosgrain stripping. BOTTOM: An off-white satin closed back open-toe evening shoe with rhinestone treatment on the vamp.
