Potato shipments from Lyttelton last fortnight rose to 18.004 sacks, compared with 15.815 sacks the previous fortnight. Shipments to Auckland fell more than 2000 sacks, but exports to Fiji offset the reduction, and the West Coast of the North Island took nearly 2000 sacks more than in the previous fortnight. Timaru shipments in the 11 days to October 14 totalled 5020 sacks, compared with 6468 sacks in the previous three weeks.
