Felt And Textiles Wins Award

The winner of the annual award by the Incorporated Institute of Accountants for the best public company report to shareholders for 1956 was Felt and Textiles of New Zealand, Ltd.. the panel of judges announced recently. The award was made in respect of the report and accounts for the year ended March 31, 1955.

The award is a sterling silver salver suitably engraved, and will be presented later. The factors which are considered by the panel of judges include the adequacy of the information given and its presentation. Members of the panel of judges were Messrs J. L. Arcus, a public accountant; H. E. Anderson barrister and solicitor; E. M. Bardsley, public accountant and secretary of the institute; and E C. W. Nathan, president of the Stock Exchange of New Zealand: all of Wellington. The chairman of the panel is Mr F. H. Ba§s. a Wellington public accountant and a past-president of both the New Zealand Society of Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (New Zealand branch).
