Steady Profit (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, October 21. Broken Hill South, Ltd., barrier silver-lead producer, slowed down slightly its rate of growth in the year to June. Group assets rose £BOO,OOO to £ 15.6 million compared with an increase of £1.800,000 in the previous year. Consolidated net profit was steady at £2.021,198 (£1.026,682) including £51,768 (£72,562) attri-1 butable to outside shareholders., This was after cutting tax provision from £1.193.698 to■ £875,862 and provision for royalty charges from £330.613 to £312,580. It was also after lifting depre-. ciation charges from £217,448 to £258.632. Dividend for the year was held at 8/6 a 5/- share, re-j quiring £1,350,000.
