B. Sutcliffe Scores 171, Not Out
(New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN. October 20. The New Zealand representative batsman, B. Sutcliffe made a return to his best form in scoring 171 not out for North-east Valley on the opening day of the Otago Cricket Association's season yesterday. Sutcliffe, who scored his runs in 260 minutes, began slowly, but later revealed brilliant footwork, strokemaking and placements. Sutcliffe's was the only century scored during, the day, but G. H. Mills, a former Plunket Shield player, made 92 for Old Boys against Carisbrook..
