Baxter), speaking in an open forum on industrial relations at today’s session of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation’s conference. Mr Baxter made special reference to the worker "who has nis feet in New Zealand and his head in some other country." He also criticised employers who had “ in obsession for profit.” Mr Baxter referred to the estimated 360.000 workers who would go into industry with the growth of another 1.000.000 in population, and said that with the development of secondary industries ndustrial relations would come more to the forefront. It would call, he said, for a high degree of understanding and recognition of the need to cultivate and preserve good industrial relations
