MR A. W. H. WHEELER
"The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, September 1. Mr Albert William Hawtin Wheeler, formerly a director and General manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd., died recently. Mr Wheeler was born at Oamaru in 1881. He joined the staff of the Union Steam Ship Company at Invercargill and was at sea for a period, after which he served in the company's various offices, including a number of years in Suva. Later he joined the executive staff in Dunedin, transferrin? to Wellington in 1922. when the company shifted its head office there. He became general manager in 1931 and a member of the board in 1932, but retired for health reasons in 1934.
