INFLUENZA IN WANGANUI
Two Deaths From Complications (New Zealand Press Association) s WANGANUI, August 31. It is suspected that two .deaths in the Wanganui Hospital during the last fortnight were caused by Asian influenza. A young Maori woman and ah infant are believed to have died as a result of complication. Dr. W. J. Trezise, rhe Wanganui Hospital Board’s Medical Superintendent, said today, however, that generally the influenza outbreak in Wanganui did not appear to be serious.
Rotorua Deaths (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, September 1. Two deaths, believed to have been caused by the current outbreak of influenza, have been reported in Rotorua. It is understood that complications followed the attack in both cases. Medical authorities today would not comment.'
