Big Increase In Cases " (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 1. Pneumonia cases admitted to hospital in Auckland rose rapidly over the week-an<L A second emergency ward was opened at Green Lane Hospital last night and extra nursing staff was: called in from the National Women’s Hospital. One death was reported by a private hospital, bringing the total deaths from pneumonia to eight. By late tonight, 119 cases of pneumonia had been admitted to public hospitals ih Auckland since the influenza epidemic broke out.
