MAN KILLED ON LEVEL CROSSING

When- the motor-car he was driving was struck by the Taneatua express at Claudelands terday afternoon, a well-known Hamilton businessman was killed. He was: Mr Coll McDonald Mcllwraith, married, an optician, of Te Aroha street. Three other occupants of the car were taken to hospital. x Truck Passenger Killed (New Zealand Press Association) GORE, September 1. A passenger in a light truck was killed late on Friday night when the vehicle ran off the Gore-Waikaka road at Willowbank and overturned. He was. Ernest Prattley, aged 25, carpenter, of 169 Broughton street, Gor s e. Mr Prattley was pinned undei the truck. The driver, Walter Alexander Agnew, of 10 Edwin street, Gore, suffered an ankle injury. Another passenger, Colin Cormack, also of Gore, escaped injury.
