WOMAN AND SON KILLED
Twin Brother Hurt In Collision (New Zealana Press Association r ROTORUA, September 1. A mother and one of her twin sons died on the way to the Rotorua Hospital after a head-on collision involving a car and a heavy cream truck in the Hemo Gorge, two miles and a half south of Rotorua about 5 p.m. today. They were:— Mrs Aokarewarangi Riwai, aged 37, of Koutu road, Rotorua. Tohunga Riwai, aged 16. The only other passenger in the car, driven by Mrs Riwai, was Patu Riwai, Tohunga’s twin brother. He was taken to Rotorua Hospital with concussion and lacerations. His condition is fair. Mr Geoffrey Campbell, aged 26, of Ngakuru, who was driving the cream truck, suffered slight facial cuts. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
