Unite Picked To Win “The Press' Special Service AUCKLAND, May 3. The Canterbury pacer, Unite, which has worked well since arriving in Auckland, will be a firm favourite for the Telegraph .Handicap, the sprint race on the first day of the Auckland Trotting Club’s winter meeting at Alexandra Park tomorrow. The track is expected to -be in good order, although a little slow. The double will be run on the Adams Memorial Handicap and the Cornwall Handicap. Selections are:— 10.45 a.m.—Winter Handicap: Worthy Boy, Bobbinhead, Legislate. 11.35 a.m.—Great Northern Stakes: Meadowlands, Papatawa. Bannock. 12.10 p.m.—Mangere Handicap: First Division—Mutuawa, Count Renaldo, Laurel Princess. Second Division—Karewai. Lady Content, Sure King. 1.10 p.m.—Adams Memorial Cup: Danniel’s Pride,. Frontiersman, Milldoria. 2 p.m.—Stewards.’ Handicap: Lenvin, Waipapa, Scottish Legion. 2.50 p.m.—Hobson Handicap: Dune, Bindora, Shenandoah. 3.40 p.m.—Cornwall Handicap: Heather Mary, Doral’s Joie, Lauder Lady. 4.30 p.m.—Telegraph Handicap: Unite, Milldoria, Worthy Chief.
