Dignus Racing In Sydney Tonight
Dignus, a winner at his two starts at the recent Addington Easter meeting, will have his first start in Australia in the second qualifying heat for the £4OOO New South Wales Pacing Derby at Harold Park tonight. Dignus has drawn No. 3 at the barrier and he will meet a strong field, in which most opposition is expected from First Knight and the New Zealandbred Night Reveller. The heat in which Dignus will race will be run at 10.55 p.m. New Zealand time. He will be driven by his trainer. J. D. Litten. Tiie Lord Mayor’s Cup winner, Caduceus, will start in the Harold Park Invitation Thousand, which will be run over one mile three and three-quarter furlongs for a stake of £lOOO. Caduceus is the backmarker on 48 yards, and he will be meeting nine opponents, most of which he beat last week in the Lord Mayor’s Cup. The race in which Caduceus wall start will be run at 11.30 pJb. New Zealand time.
