DAME SYBIL SOLD
To Join J. Walsh’s Stable
"The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL, May 3. Dame Sybil, which looks to be one of the best prospects in her class in the south at present, and which will be a strong sprint candidate at Forbury Park tomorrow, has been sold by Messrs Norman Bros, and R. McQuillan to Mr C. E. Dillon, of Riversaale, who races Sir Tatton, Queen’s Glow and others.
Dame Sybil has joined J. Walsh’s Gore stables. As Walsh has taken Lauder Lady through to Auckland for this week’s meeting, Dame Sybil will probably be again driven by M. Holmes at Forbury Park. The Light Brigade mare is now back on a 4min 37sec two-mile mark, and with only average luck in some of her races she would have been much more tightly assessed. She has won twice this season and been five times placed, including four seconds.
