Cricket BOWLING SUCCESS OF WEST INDIES

Worcestershire Out For 80 And 133

WORCESTER. May 2. The West Indies cricketers showed their bowling strength at Worcester, today when they dismissed Worcestershire twice (80 and 133) in less than four hours to win their opening first-class match with an innings to spare. The tourists had declared at their overnight score of 290 for nine, had the county out before lunch, and, at the tea interval, dismissed it a second time. The pitch provided some help, as it showed signs of crumbling, but that must not take away from the excellent bowling, particularly by Denis Atkinson, on his first visit to England, Alf Valentine, and Frank Worrell.
