(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) PARIS. December 20. The French International Air Transport Company has ordered four Ameri-can-built Douglas DCB jet aircraft to fly between Paris and Auckland in less than 24 hours, the company announced today. The aeroplanes, which are powered by four jet engines, are expected to be delivered in 1960 and 1961, and will be put into service on the company’s New Zealand and New Caledonia lines, and later on the Australia and South America lines. The giant aeroplanes will have accommodation for 134 passengers. The purchase has still to be approved by the French Government.
