SALES OF DRYCELL BATTERIES

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN TO BE SHOWN (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 21. The Government intended to require all dry-cell batteries on sale in New Zealand to be identified with the country of origin, said the Miinster ol Industries and Commerce (Mr E. H. Halstead) today. Representations had been made that the public should be aware of the origin of batteries and the Government considered it was in the public interest, said Mr Halstead. Interested parties who wanted to make representations on the subject should do so before January 31.
