King’s Fair Sprints Well At Doomben
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) BRISBANE, July 5. The New Zealand Doomben Ten-Thous-and candidate. King's Fair, came through his final test for Saturday’s big sprint todav with flying colours. King's Fair had a cut on his near hind leg on Tuesday, but there was no mark there after his three-furlong gallop at Doomben today. „ The horse’s trainer. J. Mitchell, said: For the first time this week I am happy about him." A blacksmith was taken specially to Doomben to shoe King’s Fair with tips on his forefeet. His jockey, S. Curran, said the horse pulled up well, after running three furlongs easily in 37 3 ,45ec. Other New Zealand Doomben runners. El Khobar and Knave, worked at Eagle Farm. El Khobar was not ridden out. Knave ran five furlongs in 60Isec.
