EL KHOBAR’S PRICE SHORTENS
SELLWOOD ACCEPTS MOUNT IN TEN THOUSAND (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9 p.m.) BRISBANE, July 5 The price on El Khobar, prime New Zealand fancy for Saturday’s Doomben Fen Thousand, shortened two points yesterday, following the announcement that Neville Sellwood had accepted the ride. New Zealander King’s Fair, which has suffered a slightly swollen leg in a training knock, lengthened a point, and now is equal, third favourite, with El Khobar, whose price had previously receded because of a poor barrier draw. Latest betting order is:— Lindbergh. Copper Year. El Khobar, King’s Fair. Crioilo, Cragsley, Teranyan. Knave, Plato.
Aboukir, Maniana. Fair Chance, Farquhar, Franlyle. Chestnut King, Connaught, Royal Set.
