Train Runs Into Crowd
(K.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec 1145 pm.) FOX LAKE (Illinois). J”lv 5. Three persons were killed and five were injured last night when a passenger train rounded a curve and rammed a crowd of about 89 standing on the tracks to watch a fireworks display. A mother and her seven-year-old son were crushed on the tracks and a man died la‘er. A witness said the train approached about the the first bomb in the fireworks display was exploded. Apparently because of the spectacular explosion of the bomb no-one realised the train was approaching until too late.
