MAYFIELD WINTER FARM SCHOOL
The Mayfield branch of Federated Farmers, in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, will hold a Winter Farm School at Mayfield on July 24 and 25. The school will ex-
tend over two davs, with one afternoon being devoted to a field day on Mr Cocks’s farm at Mayfield. Speakers at the school will include Pro-
lessor Flay, “Aspects of Farm Management”: Professor Walker, “The Need for Sulphur in Canterbury”; Mr E. G. Smith, “Lucerne”; and Mr J O. Wallace, “Brassica Seed Produc-
tion.” One session will be devoted to papers by local farmers, who will outline some of the problems and achievements of farmers in the district. A cordial invitation is extended to farmers outside the district to be present at the school.
