RIPON SHOWS SPEED IN AUSTRALIA
Ripon started at 50 to 1 in a sprint at Canterbury, Sydney, last -Saturday. He was third to the straight, but his condition failed him in the last furlong, and he finished sixth, although not far from the winner. Ripon’s owner, Mr Ezra Norton, and trainer. Jack Mitchell, were well satisfied with the performance of the former Mos-giel-trained Super gelding.
