COST CONFERENCE IN AUCKLAND

FIRST OF ITS KIND IN N.Z. The first cost conference of its type to be held in New Zealand will be held by the New Zealand Institute of Cost Accountants in conjunction with the Institute of Management in Auckland on July 11 and 12. The purpose of the conference, which will be opened by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr E. H. Halstead), is to make managers and cost accountants more aware of each others’ problems, to try to get greater efficiency in industry. The election of officers of the New Zealand Institute of Cost Accountants resulted: —President. Mr R. D. Muldoon (Auckland); vice-president, Mr H. W. Martin (Lower Hutt); treasurer, Mr J. G.
