OFFICERS ELECTED AT CONFERENCE
Ninety delegates representing 21 Baptist chuches and fellowships met at the St. Albans Baptist Church on Saturday for the 64th annual meeting of the Canterbury and Westland , Auxiliary of the Baptist Union of New Zealand. Devotions were conducted by the Rev. H. Coutts, of North Brighton. The chairman, the Rev. R J Thompson, welcomed the delegates and extended the right hand of fellowship to the following ministers who have taken up churches since the last annual meeting: Reverends H Coutts (North Brighton), L. W Matthews (Riccarton), J. H. Neilson (Kaiapoi). H. G. Goring (Oxford). H. A. Gardiner (Temuka). G. W. Thomas (Spreydon). I Officers elected were.—President.
the Rev. E. T. Jones: president elect. Mr R. S. Whitmarsh vice-presidents Messrs C. K. Smith and F. G. Collin; treasurer, Mr N. Brown; secretary the Rev. N. Winslade: conveners of home mission committee, Mr E. R Clark, evangelistic committee, the Rev L. S. Armstrong, overseas mission committee. Mr E. W. Eagle, temperance committee. Pastor G. W. Thomas, public questions committee, Mr E. R Clark.
