BRITISH POLIO VACCINE
TWO CASES AFTER INOCULATION (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON. June 8. Two cases of children developing symptoms of poliomyelitis after with anti-poliomvelitis vaccine were reported last night, one in Tottenham, London, the other in Derbyshire. Tests are being made to confirm the diagnosis in the Tottenham case. The Ministry of Health has emphasised that even if poliomyelitis were proved it is probable that the child was already incubating the infection at the time of inoculation on May 30. The normal incubation period is 20 to 21 days.
