BUSINESS WOMEN’S CLUBS
N.Z. TO BE REPRESENTED AT WORLD MEETING
Miss Dorothy Raymond, of Timaru, and Mrs Madeleine Hamilton, of Rotorua and formerly of Christchurch, will be the New Zealand delegates to the seventh triennial congress of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, to be held in Montreal, Canada, early next month.
Miss Raymond, who is vice-presi-dent of the New Zealand federation, is a practising solicitor in Timaru. After the conference she will spend a holiday in Britain, and for some of the time will be the guest of the Nottingham Business and Professional Women’s Club. During the Second World War. the Timaru Business and Professional Women's Club sent food parcels to the Nottingham club, and the two sister organisations have since kept up regular correspondence. Mrs Hamilton, who has six months’ leave from the Child Welfare Department. will make an extensive tour of Canada after the conference, and will visit the United States before returning to New Zealand. She left by the Orsova this week.
