SCHOOLCHILDREN AS OLYMPIC HOSTS

Schoolchildren- have entered’ Melbourne’s Olympic hospitality drive Fifty-pupils of the Tucker Road School in thd suburb of Moorabbin want to entertain overseas children during the Games- Pupils of the State School at Elwood have 5 invited. 20 boys and girls from Edith Creek Area School, Tas mania, to be their Olympic guests. Other schools are expected to follow the lead.

Students at Moorabbin have written to the consuls of all countries represented in Australia, inviting foreign children to their homes during the Games. Most consulates have replied thanking the children and promising tbat-Jhe invitation will be passed, on. Olympic interest at Elw’ood State
