SUEZ CANAL COMPANY
(Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON. June 6. The Egyptian Government’s representative on the Suez Canal Company Board. Mr Burhan Said, has emphasised that Egypt has no intention of extending the company’s 99 years’ concession which expires in 1968. The concession would not be extended a single second, he said, and the government already has plains to take oyer the company management at midnight on the last night. The company has 32 directors —16 French, nine British, five Egyptian, one American, and one Dutch. The Egyptian Finance Ministry is expected soon to publish details of the company's decision to invest part of its canital in Egyptian production schemes.
