(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)
MELBOURNE, June 4. The New Zealand jockey, G. Dulieu, with five wins in six starts, is being hailed in Victoria as a "find” among cross-country riders. After two wins at Flemington on Saturday, he won again today on the aged Blue Mist in the £lOOO Marlborough Hurdles. Dulieu had earlier wins at the Geelong and Moonee Valley meetings. Blue Mist, winner of the 1950 Queensland Cup and second to Basha Felika in the 1951 Caulfield Cup, is given a chance of winning the Grand National Hurdle or Grand National Steeplechase after today’s performance.
Dulieu came to Australia a year ago on the > recommendation of the Victorian trainer, N. McDonnell, for whom he has a record of about eight winners in 10 rides.
